In 2005 the Company was approached by the Indian Navy to develop Bulb bars an asymmetric section which was a very critical component for the Indian Navy’s indigenisation program. The same was attempted for the first time in the country all previous trials by other Companies including Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) were not successful. However Krishna Allied Industries accepted the challenge and conducted in depth research and trials and it yielded the result successfully, in rolling the trial batch exactly as per the requirement of the Indian Navy.
Meanwhile by 2010 the Company was making rapid growth on the Dairy front also and had wide customer base all across the country. This large base of customers helped the Company add new products like Milking Machines, Bulk Milk Coolers, Milk Cooling Tanks, etc. in the Dairy segment.
Since the Company was already supplying products to the Dairy Industry it decided to venture in the field of Kitchen Equipment and commenced manufacturing of Bulk Cooking Equipment like Rice Cooker, Dal Cauldrons, Distribution Vessels which are used for by organisations which run Midday Meal Programs where cooking is done for up to 1,00,000 meals a day.
Indian Navy after having undergone rigorous testing of the Bulb Bars at DMRL (Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory) accorded their recognition to the efforts of manufacturing Bulb bar by the Company. In 2012 Indian Navy placed its first large order of Rs 1200 Lac for supply of Bulb Bars to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) for construction of antisubmarine Kamorta-class stealth corvettes.
In 2012 the Company setup its own state of the art Heat Treatment Plant for Bulb Bars. It is a dedicated facility developed, keeping the production cycle of Bulb Bars mainly for Indian Navy. The new facility is a unique furnace in its own way which received its acceptance and recognition even by Russian Technology Consultants & Scientist.
In recognition of the Company’s effort, beginning from research to industrial production of Bulb Bars and the unique state of art technology of its Heat Treatment facility, which was praised and approved by not only by Indian Scientist but also by the Russian Scientist, one of the highest award- The Defence Technology Award 2013 was received by the Company from Ministry of Defence by the hands of Honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 20 Aug 2014.
Such an award is a fillip and motivation for the Company to continue its effort in the direction of Research and serving nation in a best possible manner. This also gives a satisfaction to the Company to contribute and fulfil the ‘MAKE IN INDIA” dream.
